| Suede Hat Size "I" Hook, 3 oz. "suede"-type yarn Make a Five-Round Crown with the following modifications: 1. Work only four rounds. 2. Work the dc's between the stitches of the previous round. 3. At the end of each round after joining w/sl st to top of ch 2, insert hook between next 2 stitches. Yo and pull through all loops on hook before beginning next round. |
| Rounds 5 - 15: Ch 2, turn. Dc between each 2 dc's of previous round. 48 stitches in each round (beginning ch 2 counts as first stitch in each round). Hat should measure approximately 9-1/4" from top of crown to bottom when measured lying flat. Row 16: Ch 1, turn. Slip stitch (loosely) all the way around. Join w/sl st to top of ch 1. Fasten off, weave in end, turn up brim. |
