No Place Like Home(spun) Scarf: Measures
approximately 6' long by 3-1/2" wide, using a size
10.5 or K crochet hook and one 6 oz. skein Lion
Brand Homespun.
Ch 6, join with slip stitch to form ring.
Center Foundation Round: Ch 3. 2 dc in ring. Ch 2.
* 3 dc in ring. Ch 2. *
Repeat between * 4 more times. Join with sl st to top
of ch 3 that started the round. 6 clusters in round.
Row 1: Ch 3. Skip 3 dc. (3dc, ch 2, 3 dc) in ch 2
sp. Skip 3 dc. Dc in next ch 2 sp.
Rows 2 - 35: Ch 3, turn. Skip 3 dc. (3dc, ch 2, 3
dc) in ch 2 sp. Skip 3 dc. Dc in next ch 2 sp. Fasten
off at end of Row 35.
Returning to Center Foundation Round, attach yarn in ch 2 space which is 3 dc (or 1 cluster)
away from where the first Row 1 ended.
Work Rows 1 - 35 as above, but do not fasten off.
Edging: Ch 3, turn. 2 dc in sp immediately below ch 3. Skip 3 dc, (3dc, ch 2, 3 dc) in next
ch 2 sp (which is the center point at the end of the scarf).
Skip 3 dc, (3 dc, ch 2, 3 dc) in next ch 2 sp.
Along long edge of scarf, work 2 dc in ecah row end formed by a dc, and 3 dc in each row
end formed by a ch 3. Work 2 dc in the spaces on either side of the cluster of the Center
Foundation Round.
In the final row end (the ch 3 or dc row end space before the space which forms the center
point of the opposite end of the scarf), work (3 dc, ch 2, 3 dc).
In the center point ch 2 sp work (3 dc, ch 2, 3 dc).
In the next ch 3 or dc row end space, work (3 dc, ch 2, 3 dc).
Continue working 2 dc in each row end formed by a dc, and 3 dc in each row end formed by
a ch 3 as before.
In the final row end (where there are already 3 dc worked at the begining of the edging), work
3 dc, ch 2, and attach to top of beginning ch 3 with a sl st. Fasten off.
